Why we do what we do
After months of spending time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with two nephews, I fell in love with the fantastic staff (this also inspired me to return to school and become a Registered Nurse.). One day a Nurse mentioned to me that they were always looking for fun blankets, but the the fun blankest only came thru donations.
Mission
So, my daughter and I decided that we would donate 100 blankets every year. After several years, my husband suggested I sell my homemade soaps to cover the cost of the blankets. Last year, due to a successful sales year we were able to donate 200 blankets.
Why soap?
When my daughter was little, we discovered that her skin was very sensitive to harsh chemicals. I started researching handmade soaps, and after several years I developed a recipe that was very nourishing for the skin. After a 12 hour nursing shift, I look forward to coming home and washing my hands with this amazing soap!
